Emotional Healing
1 Cor 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
What a statement! I think most modern-day preachers might be hesitant to make such a remark. However, this must become the core motivation of every real minister if we ever want to see God’s Kingdom come on earth.
The Lord is dealing with us about “healing of the emotions” in the soul. And the way God wants to do that in His church at this hour, is by supernatural intervention. For that reason, I feel the need to spend more time in prayer and waiting on God corporately during our Sunday meetings. Now I realize that some might not be too eager to be part of such times, but if we are serious about our walk with God, this would be unavoidable. Even if you feel that you are not struggling with emotional issues, waiting on the Lord is always a good thing (and I am sure we do way too little of that!)
Our ministry foundation is “being led by the Holy Spirit”, and we cannot compromise that at any cost. Be sure to attend the next Sunday meetings as we make explicit room for the power of God to touch (and heal) us! It is vital in the emerging Move of God.
Here are a few highlights from last Sunday’s teaching:
- True emotional healing cannot happen by ONLY changing our thoughts (emotions are not necessarily “reasonable”);
- Emotional fragmentation (even all soul fragmentation) causes parts of our soul to be imprisoned by the evil one;
- Truth (the Word of God/Jesus) will set us free, but before God spoke the restored (or created) current state of the earth, the Holy Spirit hovered/brooded on the chaos. Therefore, the Bible says that where the Spirit is, there is liberty;
- Ps 86:13 For great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol
See you on Sunday!
God bless you.
