“Light from on high”
– Luk 1:78 (AMP)
Vision
The greatest (and hardest) transition one can make is to live not by soulish sight, but by spiritual vision. You know the Scripture that says “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Prov 29:18 KJV). The NKJV translates “vision” as “revelation”. Both terms mean the same thing. True vision only comes by Divine revelation.
This implies that unless we stay connected to (in tune with) the Holy Spirit, our vision will be come cloudy. Only God fully knows our pathway. Only He saw the end (outcome) right from our beginning (see Isa 46:10). Imagine, for a moment, you could see the end results of your current struggles: how God is going to carry you through, take you higher, confront your enemies and make everything better than what it is right now! In fact, this is exactly what God is planning to do for you: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jer 29:11 KJV).
There are many teachings, thoughts, ideas and philosophies, but I have discovered one everlasting truth that overrides all other methods for success: waiting restfully in God’s Presence! That is where vision will be restored, hope will come and your focus will shift from the soulish awareness of the surroundings to the eternal destiny God has in mind. Rest fully in His unfailing love.
Brotherly love.
