Winds of change
Reminder of:
- Divine Revelation workshop tonight (Tuesday evenings 19h00)
- Inspirational Videos on Friday evenings (18h30 for 19h00)
I am convinced that we have entered one of the most interesting phases of church history – quite a bold statement, I must add! Every age in history is important, but it seems some spiritual seasons carry more dramatic moments than others. Israel endured slavery for around 400 years, but then the dramatic events of the Exodus unfolded in one generation.
“Dramatic moments”, however, bring with them great challenges that will propel the brave forward and leave the fainthearted stuck. Only two people in the generation of the Exodus finally entered the Promised Land! This may sound very discouraging, but there is much to learn from the experiences of Israel.
The Book of Hebrews makes it clear that most Israelities did not enter the Promised Land because of their UNBELIEF. A challenging moment in history unsettles the norm which can require a lot of faith. Somehow, we don’t like change, but change is the only way to achieve greatness. The people that are remembered in history are the ones that accepted a challenge!
The Church of Jesus Christ is at such a moment. Are you sensing the spiritual winds of change? I know it may be hard to let the “Wind” change your environment, or force you into a new direction, but without the wind, no rain will come. Remember the Words of Jesus in Joh 3:8 (NIV) “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
